Identifying emission reduction opportunities through GHG inventories
Companies cannot move forward with a comprehensive decarbonisation plan unless they fully understand the source of all emissions associated with their operations and measure the emissions generated.
Organisations that produce environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reports may have started to calculate their GHG emissions, but many still don’t report their Scope 3 emissions. These emissions occur within the value chain and typically account for more than two-thirds of a company’s carbon footprint.
By conducting a full GHG emissions inventory, companies can fully assess the GHG emissions generated by their operations (direct and indirect), in line with Indonesia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement.
